I'm not sure what you mean by moderately comfortable. Perhaps I'll just take DD and leave the boys to do something else. We popped into Starbucks for a quick bite to eat before entering into the modern style side entrance of the Globe which houses the ticket office, shop and restaurant. We were on the first balcony of the Globe and benefited from Mum and Dad’s experience of having been before. I've never been there before so I'm not sure if premium seats are the best seats, or if you are fine with getting cheaper seats, and still be able to see everything. Can anyone offer some advice on seating at (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? Secondarily I have a love of history and interesting buildings/ architecture.
Damage Policy Thanks for the details about the seating. Seat cushions help anywhere, and seat backs help if you're not in the back row (in which case you can lean on the wall). Thanks. I marvel at these actors each time I go.
Under 18s – £3 off all seats in the Globe Theatre. Afterwards we made decided to take the scenic walk in the twilight across the Millennium Bridge to St Paul's Cathedral, which was a lovely way to round off the evening.
William Shakespeare did not design Globe Theater, nor did he build it, but he was a shareholder in it and had been living in London during its construction. Shakespeare’s company built the Globe only because it could not use the special roofed facility, Blackfriars Theatre, that James Burbage (the father of their leading actor, Richard Burbage) had built in 1596 for it inside the city. The elder Burbage had a long history as a theatrical entrepreneur. In 1576 he had built the first successful amphitheatre, known as The Theatre, in a London suburb. When the cannon was fired, it accidentally hit the wooden beams and straw thatching of the Globe, causing it to catch fire.
If you do get seats, definitely get the cushions. If you are a resident of another country or region, please select the appropriate version of Tripadvisor for your country or region in the drop-down menu. Highly recommend seeing a play. Younger daughter really struggled understanding play.

I'm looking at getting some tickets for a play at the Globe Theater. Much as I love (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? This was even complete with authentic Elizabethan sewage small due to the hot weather. I don't remember the ceilings being low or having trouble (or seeing people having trouble) standing anywhere.
The Globe Theater was located near Park Street and Southwark Bridge Road, not far from London Bridge. ), it is based on what we know of that structure and has bags of character. After a couple of years a play came up that my family all wanted to see, Macbeth. My favourite moment was an unscripted one, when the drunken porter stuck his middle finger up at a passing plane flying low overhead from City of London airport threatening to drown out his soliloquy. While he did not live to see his vision come to fruition, Wanamaker’s efforts brought back to life a relic from the past and ensured that audiences of today can enjoy the same theater experience as those of Shakespeare’s time. Is towards the back of the tier Ok for visibility of the stage? Because the theatre is designed on a theatre from 400 years ago, there's not much room for comfort.
