She was truly a superb person, who will be terribly missed! I remember such good times, and a few sad ones. She was born March 19, 1927 in Winona, Ohio, daughter of the late Perry and Naoma (Beall) Grady. She served in this capacity full time until 2011 and continued working part time until the age of 80 when she could no longer work due to visual impairment. Peggy married her second husband, Ulysses S. Fisher, in 1998 and often referred to this time in her life as the most peaceful and wonderful years. She served as Secretary of the Lesche Club of Natchitoches and was a member of the Friends of the Natchitoches Parish Library.

She was born August 13, 1986 in Salem, daughter of W. Robert Lowry II and Laura (McCorkhill) Cantini.

Those she has left here to reminisce about her memories are two sons, Kirk Fisher and wife Jennifer of Mustang, OK, Keith Fisher and wife Julia of Pampa; three grandchildren, Vanessa Workman and husband James of Pampa, Jessica Duran and Josh Taylor of Mustang, OK, Jaymes Duran also of Mustang; three great-grandchildren, Lily Workman, Russ Workman, Waylon Taylor as well as a host of nieces, nephews and beloved In-laws. She is survived by her husband, Ulysses S. Fisher; daughters, Michelle (Tom) Kelly of Salem and Janiene (Tom) Stafford of Sanford, Florida; a son, R. Mark Kohler of Minerva; daughter-in-law, Judy Kohler; stepdaughter, Amy Reed of Columbus; stepson, David (Melony) Fisher of Homeworth; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Peggy had a happy childhood growing up in Niles, Ohio. Peggy was an excellent cook and was known by her family as the Chocolate Wesson Oil Cake Queen! She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
She was a very special, and very talented person.

Whether you heard her sing at church, on stage in a musical, in the classroom, or in the “big room” of her parents’ home, it was always extraordinary.
