As the final broadcast story of the series' classic era, following the airing of its last episode, the series would enter a period of wilderness years devoid of new televised adventures until an attempt was made to revive it in 1996.

If he needs to, he will blow up the sub and everyone on it to avoid starting the nuclear exchange.

I love the diversity of the aliens they have there, really sets us up for what to expect, as well as Rose realising the same thing. Only 2 things in the universe can get inside the tardis, Kasaavin, ethereal unknowable beings from another dimension, and Donna Noble, and the Kerblam man, and the fifth Doctor in a time crash, do plo no cho to sho mo flo so so sho wo kro to ho sho to ho flo sho jo tro do plo plo no bla. One pulse from the Martian ship could launch the missiles.
